Seat Arona Oil Type Finder

The Arona is Seats latest entry into the crossover car segment and has a lot in common with the well known Seat Ibiza.

In Seat Arona first hit the market in 2018 when the VW subsidiary released this small SUV. Despite looking and being marketed as a SUV, the Arona is only available with front-wheel drive which is a common theme among a lot of cars in the "small-vehicle crossover" segment.

Seat Arona Engine Types

The entry level Arona engine is a three-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 1.0L and a fairly modest 95hp. Moving up the range a little we have a 1.6 litre turbo diesel which comes as either a 95hp or a more punchy 115 hp version. The top model is the Arona FR with a 150 hp 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine including cylinder deactivation. As one of the few manufacturers, Seat also offers the small crossover with an alternative drive: The natural gas variant TGI has an economical 1.0-litre three-cylinder with 90hp.

Seat Arona Oil Change Interval

With the fixed interval, the engine oil in the Seat Arona is changed every 15,000 km or once a year. If the flexible interval is set, the oil change is due after 30,000 km or 2 years at the latest.

For the Arona there are other intervals related to the country of destination. Seat sets the interval at the factory with a PR number in the vehicle data carrier. The vehicles for Europe are usually marked with the number QI6, which stands for the change intervals mentioned above. The flexible interval is usually set, which can be recoded to the fixed interval if required.

The engine oil in a Seat Arona wears out faster under 'difficult conditions'. For example:

• Only travelling short-distance
• Towing heavy loads
• Lots of cold starts
• Often doing low-speed journeys and idling a lot
• A lot of driving on dusty roads or in extreme cold weather

Seat Arona Engine Oil Capacity - How Much Engine Oil Does a Seat Arona Need?

With the petrol engines and the petrol/natural gas engine, the filling quantities are between 4.0 and 4.3 litre. The two 1.6 diesels need a little more engine oil at 4.7 litres .

We have listed all the Seat Arona models and engine types in the following table, as well as the correct engine oil grade for each of the cars. You can use the search and filter to easily find the right engine oil for your Seat Arona.

Approved Engine Oil For Seat Arona

During the design of an engine, engineers must commit to specific engine oil parameters. Because this data influences some calculations. Later in the test phase, the engine is then tested and improved with this oil in many tests for function and durability. With this oil, you can be sure that your Arona's engine is exactly tailored to it.

The specification describes special properties of the engine oil, which are caused by a certain composition of different additives. The SAE number, on the other hand, indicates the viscosity, i.e. the flow behavior of an oil in cold and heat.
