Under BMW's leadership, Mini has continued to expand its range. In 2010, the British manufacturer ventured into the SUV segment with the Countryman. The cute retro look with cute googly-eyed headlights was also transferred to the Countryman, which, at almost 4.10 meters in length, has little in common with the original Mini. The first generation was manufactured by Magna Steyr in Graz, the second Countryman, which was relaunched in 2017, comes from the Netherlands. In addition to classic petrol and diesel engines, Mini is also offering a plug-in hybrid drive for the first time in the Countryman II. It shares this technology with the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer.
MINI uses R60 or F60 long-life oils for the engines of the Countryman Cooper, the viscosity of which is designed for longer change intervals. For a Countryman Cooper R60, for example, you need to schedule an oil change every 24 months or every 30,000 km.
Depending on the model generation and engine variant, different amounts and types of oil are used for servicing the MINI Countryman with Cooper equipment. A Cooper SD of type F60, for example, needs a good 5.0 litres of the standard BMW Longlife 04 per oil change.
