The Rodeo is a vehicle model made by the Japanese car manufacturer Isuzu. The pickup or SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) was produced from 1991 to 2004 by GM, among others, and was offered worldwide. The vehicle was based on the Isuzu FasterTF. The Rodeo was marketed in North America as an Isuzu pickup until 1996, when it was eventually replaced by the Isuzu Hombre. Isuzu is a Japanese manufacturer of vehicles. Isuzu D-Max is a pickup whose first generation hit the streets in 2002. High transportability and appealing comfort convinced drivers for transport in everyday work and in their free time. The first Isuzu D-Max was launched in 2002. As a pickup, it won over craftsmen and all those who have to rely on a reliable vehicle. With the D-Max, the Japanese car manufacturer Isuzu relied on a vehicle with different variants. So three different models rolled on the streets, which are still popular today: Single Cab, Space Cab and Double Cab. The diesel engine made good progress and there was between 136 hp and 163 hp under the hood. With its standard equipment of comfortable details, drivers achieve unique feel-good driving in addition to the high benefit.

The second generation of Isuzu D-Max appeared on the roads in 2012. With an extended wheelbase and increased overall length, it offers optimal transport conditions for everyday work and leisure. Its engine is appealing with 163 hp and can be selected as a manual or automatic transmission. The three equipment variants convince with a high level of comfort and their additional models Basic, Custom and Premium.

The 2017 facelift brought an optimized engine. So drivers of the pickup with the equally powerful 1.9-l diesel engine were on the road. There were hardly any optical changes, only the front apron got modified bezels for the fog lights and the design of the headlights got LED daytime running lights. With a larger multimedia display and a modern display for the on-board computer, Isuzu has created another range of functions for its pickup drivers. The Isuzu D-Max Basic received electric exterior mirrors and a radio remote control as standard. Drivers of the premium variants benefit from the standard navigation system, reversing camera and keyless go system.

The model history of the Isuzu Rodeo

The Isuzu TF was available under different names in numerous countries. The pickup or SUV from Isuzu was offered in the equipment variants Isuzu Rodeo LS, Rodeo S and the upscale version LSE, the latter being equipped with a switchable all-wheel drive. The two-wheel drive Isuzu Rodeo S was equipped with a four-cylinder engine as standard. The LS variants had a 3.2 litre V6 engine with an output of 205 hp. The Isuzu Rodeo models manufactured between 1999 and 2000 only experienced minor modifications in the meantime. In contrast, Iszuzu presented the Rodeo from model year 2004 with a new, more powerful 3.5 litre V6 engine.

The new TF was offered with a new trim level: the LT Sport, however, was only available on the all-wheel drive model and the double cab. The 2.6-litre engine was replaced by a 3.2-litre V6 with 140 kW, which was also installed in the Amigo and Trooper at a higher power level. This new powerplant was offered in rear-engine and all-wheel drive models. Both variants featured the same ground clearance and chassis. This design was also known as the "raised rear-wheel drive version". In the years that followed, there were also such vehicles from the Ford Courier, from the Mazda Bravo and from the Mitsubishi L200. In the 2002 model year, the TF received a new turbo diesel engine with a displacement of 3.0 litres and an output of 96 kW. The drive was also provided with direct injection and intercooler. This drive was also previously available in the Trooper. There were also minor changes to the exterior design, such as clear turn signal covers or a modified radiator grille. Production of the TF ended in late 2002 and was replaced by the D-Max worldwide.
