For a long time no middle-class sedan from Alfa Romeo seemed as attractive and high-quality as the new Giulia. Not the Alfa 156 from 1997, not the 155 from 1992, not the 75 from 1985. Presented in 2016 and modified in 2019, the reinterpretation of the Alfa Romeo Giulia that started in 1962 is known as the Italian alternative to BMW's 3 Series and Mercedes' C-Class to beguile.
At first glance. The Giulia front with the shield-shaped grill (Scudetto) typical of Alfa flows elegantly to the striking rear. The harmony of the lines continues in the interior with the classic pointer instruments and the graceful leather steering wheel with sensuous shift paddles. The soft, foamed plastic of the dashboard and the leather of the seats feel fine to the touch.
Motor oil is a vital part of your Alfa Romeo Giulia's engine. It provides the much needed lubrication to many of the internal parts of an engine. One of its key jobs is to prevent wear and tear on the moving parts which helps keep the engine running smoothly. Without oil, the engine would cease up almost immediately.
Regularly checking and changing your Alfa Romeo Giulia engine oil is really important. Every time you start and run your car, very fine by-products from the combustion in the engine will be collected in the engine oil. This is one of the reasons why over time the oil goes black. If these contaminants build up too much and exceed the capacity of the oil it can have a negative impact on your car’s overall efficiency and actually effect its performance as it creates sludge and increased wear in the engine block.
Every engine oil will have its viscosity grade labelled on the packaging. This will look something like 0W-20, 5W-30 or 5W-40. This grading is used to measure how thick / fluid the oil is and help ensure you buy the right oil for your car. The lower the viscosity grade of the oil, the more fluid and thinner it will be than those with a high grade (higher numbers) which will be much less running and thick.
So which engine oil should you buy for your Alfa Romeo Giulia? Whether you are topping up your Alfa Romeo Giulia oil or doing a full change of your Alfa Romeo Giulia's oil it is really important that you use the correct grade of oil.
We have listed all the Alfa Romeo Giulia models and engine types in the following table, as well as the correct engine oil grade for each of the cars. You can use the search and filter to easily find the right engine oil for your Alfa Romeo Giulia.

With the 2019 revision, the Giulia became even more attractive. The equipment lines have been supplemented by the Lusso, B-Tech and Veloce Ti lines, the standard equipment has been expanded for almost all model versions and the performance of the recommended 2.2-litre entry-level diesel has been increased to 160 hp.
The trunk, which narrows towards the rear and does not have a very high loading sill (about 9 centimeters above the loading area), offers a depth and volume that one would expect in a sedan just over 4.60 meters long. In order to counteract the confusing approach to the trunk and the narrow rear window, the rear camera that comes as standard in the Giulia Lusso is recommended.
The power range of the engines, which deliver up to 510 hp, which are combined with rear or all-wheel drive, remained the same, as did the impressive handling, the level of comfort that goes well with the handling and the good safety precautions.
